ABOUT THE TOWN
Roscigno Vecchia also known as “old Roscigno” is a small village in southern Italy. Abandoned in the early 20th century due to the danger of a landslide, the towns original buildings still stand today as a representation of 19th century Italian rural town development, society and architecture.
This website aims to encourage and promote tourism to Roscigno Vecchia and the surrounding areas, provide scholarships to the children of Roscigno and the surrounding district, assist in the preservation of the historic town, provide archival information ( location of family records in Italy and the USA) and reunite decedents of the town through communication, reunions and group trips to Italy.
